About The Founders
For nearly two years, "Atef" (as he has become affectionately known) taught Sacred Shrine of Mwt Ast's
spiritual and martial arts classes, counseled, performed shrine divination, house cleansings & exorcism,
and led high ceremonial ritual.

Imakhu Atef Hrukhuti is a career salesman who can attest to the power of positivity and determination
to turn your life around. At a pivotal life cycle years ago, he ignored every "No" he had been told about
what he could achieve as a Black man and decided to embrace "Yes." He changed his mind and changed his
life. Deciding to work for himself by becoming a real estate agent, Imakhu Atef also changed his circle of

Queen Mother Imakhu is creator and CEO of  AKERU NuAFRAKAN NETWORK & Media
Enterprises, comprised of the Internet based AKERU Radio, AKERU TV, AKERU NuAfrakan
Magazine, AKERU Cultural Communications Bureau, and AKERU Travel Club. Each venue reflects
her personal philosophy and mission: “Dedicated to Healing the Black Family At Home and Abroad.”
Imakhu serves as programming director, engineer, editor, and producer.

Her column, TV show, and syndicated radio show, ASHE! , educates audiences about African diasporic
culture, Black Family Values, and successful living. She is also producer and co-host of the topical
news syndicated radio show, NU AFRAKAN PERSPECTIVES. She also hosts/produces the webcasts
WORDS FROM THE KEMETIC UNDAGROUND, and Church of the Living Waters inspirational
web-sermons.

Internationally known as “Water Woman,” veteran performer and dynamic lecturer, master storyteller
(a.k.a “The Renegade Storyteller”), Imakhu has educated and entertained hundreds of thousands
throughout her thirty year career.

Imakhu’s performances, lectures, and workshops reinforce the importance of perpetuating family oral
tradition. Imakhu Mwt Shekemet Hetep Maati is deeply committed to the reclamation and teaching of
the Afrakan origins of the metaphysical tradition. She shares Nu Afrakan cultural info and success tips

Church of the True Living Waters
Master salesman, martial artist, and ordained minister Imakhu (Rev.) Atef HruKhuti Geb Ast of NJ is a
man of deep faith. An ankh carrying priest, Imakhu Atef serves as
Church of the True Living Waters   
co-minister, Shrine Father, Chief High Priest, and Counselor. A veteran spiritual counselor, originally
ordained at age fourteen as a Christian faith minister, Imakhu Atef HruKhuti eventually received Kemetic
priesthood initiation and his ankh through the Shrine of Khpra by Grandmaster Kham of Brooklyn, NY.  
Imakhu Atef HruKhuti's gained the title of High Priest, Spiritual Warrior, Ordained Minister and
Metaphysical Healing Minister through Sacred Shrine of Mwt Ast. He received additional
metaphysical/mystery school teachings through Sa Sefket Aubi. Atef recently became initiated as a
nganga (healer) in the Shona/Ndebele Water Tradition of South Africa.
Imakhu Mwt Shekemet, a twenty year metaphysician, is an ordained Interfaith/ Kemetic/Pan Afrakan
minister, Queen Mother (shrine leader) & Elder High Priestess of
Church of the True Living Waters and Sacred Shrine of Mwt Ast Ministries.
She is an associate Queen Mother and Elder of Shrine of Khpra in Brooklyn, NY led by
Grandmaster Kham. She has been initiated through the mystical order Sa Sefkhet Abi, ordained as
minister and healing minister through Circle of Light ministries. She is also initiated as a nganga
(healer) in the South African Shona/Ndebele tradition. The protégé of several teachers in various
traditions, Imakhu has also been trained as a Rehu-t (Wise) Woman, Earth Keeper and as a Spiritual
Warrior. Imakhu is also a parent. She has counseled many African American parents and families.
